Vegetables & Fruit
Some crucial components of the VEBCOG Farmers’ Market are serving the low-income neighborhoods, maintaining return customers, and providing educational outreach to those who scarcely have access to fresh produce.
Many of these customers may be unfamiliar with the preparation and health benefits of fresh, local and /or organic products, and our goal is to teach them in order to retain them. We think of organic gardening for the most part as it relates to edible garden plants and fruit. We enjoy providing fresh fruits and vegetables during the growing season.

Seedlings, Trees & Flowers
When you grow a tomato plant in your garden, you have an opportunity to control what is used to protect it from insects and disease, as well as the source of nutrients that it receives. When you use compost and natural products to nurture your garden plants, their growth is sustained for longer periods of time, and they are generally healthier. We enjoy providing plants during the growing season.
We are also relaunching our workshops to provide vermicomposting (worm fertilizer) instructions and many Native American combinations. Head over to our events and workshop page to learn more.
